Non-electric air conditioning system
Polar’s P-1000 FH air conditioning system is compact and easy to install. The fully hydraulic design of the P-1000 FH non-electric unit eliminates the need for all electrical power, making it virtually explosion-proof. It is designed to exceed all hazardous location requirements, and is manufactured with MSHA-rated components, making it suitable for any application. Features include:

Heavy-duty A/C split system
The P-1320 / 320 heavy-duty A/C unit is a split system of condenser and evaporator. It is extremely robust and requires little maintenance, providing exceptionally high cooling capacity and uninterrupted, long-lasting service, even in the harshest environmental conditions. The P-1320 / 320 is ideal for underground mining machinery, refuge stations and mining equipment, such as shovels, dozers, haul trucks, loaders, cranes, excavators and drills.
Heavy-duty condensers
The P-1325 heavy-duty condenser is designed for use in any 24VDC machine application, including haul trucks, graders, dozers and loaders. It replaces the conventional engine driven compressor and radiator mounted condenser, and can tie into the factory cab A/C system and controls. The P-1325 offers a wide variety of mounting configurations and is extremely flexible. Features include:
- 20,000 BTU condenser capacity
- >60A at 24VDC
- Dimensions: 27in (W) x 16 1/4in (D) x 11in (H)
The P-1900 heavy-duty condenser is suitable for use in any high dust or vibration application, including haul trucks, graders, dozers and loaders. It is designed to replace the conventional radiator mounted condenser, and can integrate with the factory cab A/C system and controls. Features include:
- 35,000 BTU condenser capacity
- >10A at 24VDC
- Dimensions: 28 3/4in (W) x 11 5/16in (D) x 14 1/2in (H)
Through-wall HVAC system
The P-5225 through-wall HVAC system is a heavy-duty A/C unit designed for use in large cabs and dusty locations. It has been developed to provide outstanding air quality, helping to make any environmental enclosure a safe, dust-free working environment. The dimensions of the unit are 31in (W) x 25in (D) x 48 1/8in (H), and it weighs around 220lbs. Several power options are available:
- 24VDC, 200 – 575VAC three-phase
- 50Hz or 60Hz, 200 – 270VAC
- One-phase 50Hz or 60Hz max. amp draw
- Cooling 24A, heating 32A
Rooftop air conditioners
The P-5070 and P-9977 models are high-capacity A/C units designed for use in mining, oil field, military and heavy equipment applications. They can easily handle the rugged environments and extreme temperature conditions found in mine sites around the world. These units create a comfortable, dust-free and temperature-controlled cab environment, significantly reducing operator fatigue. They are easy to install and require very little maintenance.
The P-5070 all electric rooftop air conditioner can operate in ambient temperatures exceeding 55°C / 130°F. It weighs approximately 205lbs and its dimensions are 28in (W) x 34 1/8in (D) x 17 9/16in (H). The P-9977 rooftop air conditioner operates in ambient temperatures of 55ºC / 130ºF. Its dimensions are 29in (W) x 35 1/2in (D) x 12 1/2in (H).
Hydraulic driven heater / air conditioner
The P-9990 heavy-duty hydraulic driven heater / air conditioner is a self-contained unit that is suitable for use anywhere that dependable HVAC is required. It is designed to attach to the rear or side wall of the cabin with air flow ducted inside. Two models are available:
- P-9990-H-24P: for use in -45°C to 50°C (-49°F to 122°F); 20,000 BTU cooling capacity; 30,000 BTU heat – requires engine coolant lines
- P-9990-RC-24P: for use in -30°C to 50°C (-22°F to 120°F); 20,000 BTU cooling capacity; 18,000 BTU heat – no coolant lines required
