AKS Industries were contracted to upgrade an existing recycled water plant to supply potable water at a remote Glencore Mining Site. This involved stabilising RO permeate water using a large calcite filter. The water was then disinfected using a validated UV sterilisation unit followed by flow-paced chlorine dosing.

Housed within a 20ft container, the plant offers a treatment capacity of 100,000L/day with an instantaneous treatment capacity of 4L/s.

The system was designed and constructed at the AKS state-of-the-art Geelong facility to stringent mining standards, and fully pre-tested, prior to delivery.
